Non Unsustainable was founded for one crucial reason; to keep the skateboard craze that started in the 1990s alive but with only a slight change. Eco-Friendly! We seek to provide the skateboarding community with high quality bamboo products that offer everything the traditional offers, as well as being a better material for the environment.

When it comes to apparel we know that looking good while you shred is important. We have stuck to our mission by printing our designs on 100% bamboo fabric shirts. By doing so we are taking advantage of one of the many uses of a green material; bamboo. Harvesting bamboo, in comparison to cotton, is much less labor inducing and uses no harmful pesticides.

Maple decks may have been the norm since skateboarding started, however, the impact that harvesting maple trees have on the environment is devastating. Bamboo on the other hand requires less water, no fertilizer, and its growth period is rapid. On top of that, bamboo skateboards not only excel against the classic maple wood boards when it comes to durability, but they also rival in price points. So why would you not spend the same amount of money as a tradit board to save the environment?
